Finally was able to take pics of the finished product.

Yes, my gryphon survived the kiln and is resting on my dresser at home, surveying all before him. Too bad I couldn't take him with me...but he risked enough being fired, I think a car ride might be a bit too much to ask of him.

Thinking of doing a foil sculpture of him, but all those feathers and spots....

Whaoh, that's really nice!:-D I like how you have the wings folded at an angle, above the reclining figure, and that partial crest-mane. Approximately how long did the sculpture take to complete, Silver Twilight05, and how big is the cheetah griffon?O.O

Thanks. ^_^ I had to do something with his wings, they would look boring if they were just folded at his sides. The crest thing I had to do, otherwise he wouldn't look as gryphon-ish to me. I like how his tail curls around his feet (its a little hard to see, but I gave him paw prints too).

But wow...that one took a while to finish, mostly because my art class in high school was only 45 min per day. It took me a couple of weeks, probably over a month. He's about the size of a football, maybe a little smaller.

You're welcome, Silver Twilight05.^.^ Yeah, I remember those fourty-five minute high school art classes--you could -never- get things done quickly, even if you wanted to.X-) Very impressive cheegriff--I'd recommend keeping it for your portfolio, if you haven't already.:-)
