So, I caught a glimpse of a falcon carrying off its breakfast as I drove to work the other day (most likely a peregrine, based on size, shape, and markings) and it got me thinking about gryphons. So the idea kind of simmered in my head the rest of the day, about which species tend to get paired together to form this chimeric creature.  Lion/eagle, cheetah/falcon, etc.  The lion is large and powerful, so it should be matched by the eagle, whereas the cheetah is small and fast and seems to fit best with the little speedy falcons.  And that got me to thinking, what if they were matched up by prey, behavior, or hunting patterns?  Lions are uniqu

End of Squares

After an incredibly long time, I have finally finished all of my promised squares for the Share-a-Squares event!  When I started, I had no idea that getting a job would reduced my free craft time by so much.  I will try to plan future projects accordingly.  I hope everyone enjoys their squares, now I am back to creating more yarn creatures.

Been kind of inactive creatively, lately.  My schedule isn't too heavy (most weeks), but I find that I'm left physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted at the end of most days (I am a veterinarian - this is a thing, apparently).  I get home from work (sometimes as late as 9 at night), and all I want to do is have some dinner, relax my mind with a bit of tv, and go to bed to start the whole cycle over again.  I live for my days off, but can't really get much of anything done on any day that I have work.  For my own mental welfare, I've limited my current projects to only one at a time - because I just can't handle mor
